[ Note: I was asked for a testimonial for the subject’s immigration advisor business, but unfortunately the testimonial got lost in the mail. I’m using it anyway, exactly as I submitted it, to show it’s unsolicited, spontaneous, and sincere. Also, it’s a belated birthday greeting. Happy birthday idol Maricel !]
FROM HOPELESS, TO HOPEFUL, TO DREAM ACHIEVED, THANKS TO YOU GUYS. (I’m not sure if I should submit this first or just post outright, here goes) Although New Zealand Immigration Help Service (NZIHS) is in the business of making dreams come true, some might take a bit longer than others.
I first came to New Zealand half a lifetime ago, and to say that i was a hard case (borderline “too hard basket”) would not be too much of an exaggeration. I had fallen between the cracks, was neither here no there, and certainly wasn’t the ideal case for immigration to New Zealand.
Maricel Weischede and Holger her husband and business partner in their own way told me not to give up. I didn’t always listen, and I didn’t always follow their advice, but they gamely humored me, and patiently listened to my sob stories, admonished me to better myself, take advantage of anything that I could (tutal andito na rin lang ako sa NZ), and advised me never to surrender. They had seen much worse (although I doubt that, and still do).
To make a long story short, they were selling me hope, and I bought in (namuhunan). You need to buy in when you’re in the migration business both sides of the counter, and when you do, Maricel and Holger will be there for you. (You have to believe in yourself.) Hoping against hope, I bought in, and Maricel and Holger (now with Patrick their son and their NZIHS family) did the rest. Of course, the One-Off didn’t hurt.
Now, this last part has nothing to do with me, and relates to stuff you won’t read in maybe 90% of a typical testimonial about NZIHS, or anyone else: Maricel and Holger’s superpower is specializing in hopeless cases. (This is where I realized that yes, I wasn’t the worst case.) They will never tell you such, but a few of their cases have literally been accepted at the 11th hour (halos huling-huli na & walang pag-asa) and, as far as I know, they have somehow managed to come up with a happy ending. Literally. And, I’m almost afraid to spill the beans: in these cases, M & H have done it for nothing more than to see a smile on the client and his/her family’s faces.
I’m not saying they do everything for free, they have to eat, too. Anyway, they are on Facebook, have their own website, and they do very well on word-of-mouth. Just type in N-Z-I-H-S.
You can’t go wrong with them.
